Papad

Papad known by different names - appalam, papadum is a thin Indian wafer/crackers can be accompanied with meals, can be served fried or roasted.

It's made with dried lentils like moong dal/Urad dal/channa dal or they can also be made from potatoes, rice or tapioca flours.

Papad often contain spices like cumin, chili, asafoetida and salt.
